On October the 27th, 2022, ASHVIN partner UPM represented ASHVIN at the Jornada de Digitalización de Infraestructuras Lineales, organized in Madrid (Spain) by PTEC. Rolando Chacon, Associate Professor at UPM delivered a presentation: “Actuaciones Scan-to-BIM para la gemelización digital de un puentes mixtos de carretera”.

The presentation walked the audience through some ideas on the use of Laser Scanner for tracking the seasonal shape of the bridge, which is composite, tapered and horizontally curved, utilizing ASHVIN demonstration site 7 as example.

This international professional event, attracting over 100 visitors, was a great momentum to present ASHVIN to new stakeholders, especially in the academia field across Europe.
