UPC Hosts a Seminar about ASHVIN at the College of Engineering, University of Notre Dame, US

On the 17th of April, Rolando Chacón, Associate Professor from the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC) & WP5 research leader in ASHVIN, hosted a seminar entitled “Build, Break and Blend Digital Twin” at the College of Engineering, University of Notre Dame in the US.

This seminar discussed how digital twin is becoming a reality in 10 major infrastructure systems, using the 10 ASHVIN demonstration sites as real-life examples. It showcased how different infrastructures, such as bridges, airports, ports, buildings and arenas,  are going digital and how these are an endless digital information source.

This seminar also examined how measurements, simulation, Building Information Models (BIM) and data analysis can be blended together to create a digital twin of an engineered asset.

This was a great occasion to disseminate ASHVIN’s research results to scientific communities beyond Europe!
