ASHVIN’s 7th and Final General Assembly in Belgrade, Serbia

Partners set the final strategies for the last two project months

On the 18th and 19th of January 2024, our consortium gathered for the very last general assembly before the end of the project in March 2024. Mainflux hosted the meeting, gathering all 15 consortium partners at the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade, Serbia.

The meeting was chaired by the coordinator, Timo Hartmann, TUB, and the technical coordinator, Rahul Tomar, DTT. The main objective was to discuss the work plan for the remaining 2,5 project months, focusing on the final deliverables, planning the final project reporting with the European Commission, and finalising the work on the demonstration sites.

Partners overviewed the achievements in all work packages as the WP leaders presented innovation pitches. Ilias Koulalis from CERTH/ITI  is the first to start with his pitch on WP3 Data Fusion for real-time construction monitoring. Rahul Tomar, DTT, continued displaying the new user interface of the Digital Twin platform, enabling it to visualise the data collected and display it with the ASHVIN toolkit. This capitalises on the innovation in the WP4 “Control and real-time simulation of construction” and, more importantly, how the end-user can benefit from visualising the digital twins. Rolando Chacon, UPC, followed with his pitch about the innovation related to infrastructure asset management, and the demos, tools and methods were implemented under the work package 5, “Digital twin-based structural monitoring and asset management”. After a vote for the best innovation pitch, Ilias Koulalis was selected as the most convincing one. Congratulations Ilias!

Moreover, the team agreed to hold a final workshop dedicated to exploitation at the TUB premises,  in Berlin in March 2024. This will mark the last physical work gathering for the consortium.

Thank you, Mainflux, for your warm Balkan hospitality!
